National Museum of Natural History....

  The National Museum of Natural History building was built in 1911 to accommodate the growing collection that was originally at the Smithsonian Castle and then moved to the National Museum Building. Some parts of the museum are rather outdated, especially the Hall of Bones and casings which show birds collected in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Other exhibits include dinosaurs, mammals, geology, gemstones, human origins, and the ocean.                      Art is made from garbage found on the beach   This museum is popular for children so it can be crowded. The Dinosaur Hall is undergoing a massive increase and will reopen in 2019 so that it will be busy for a while.    The entrance that is accessible to the museum is located at Constitutional Ave. If you park on Madison Drive, as we did, take a little time to walk / roll past the Sculpture Park and P...
